It is important that you continue to develop your knowledge and expertise in safety, and so as you probably already know, the CTSP program has a CEU requirement. The CTSP Council believes that the Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (certificant) should continue to develop and improve their professionalism through constant learning and growth, through teaching others, through the actual implementation of CTSP’s teachings, and through contributing to the intellectual property of the CTSP program. Certificants must obtain 30 CEUs during their three year recertification period.
You can obtain CEUs in four ways:
- by attending professional development – minimum 5 and maximum 15 CEUs
- by teaching or training others in safety – minimum 5 and maximum 15 CEUs
- by documented development of new safety program elements for your company – minimum 5 and maximum 15 CEUs
- by developing new exam questions for the CTSP program – no minimum and maximum 5 CEUs
Click on the link to the left to download forms that allow you to apply for CEU credit for your activities.
Please feel free to contact Peter Gerstenberger at peter@tcia.org or Irina Kochurov at kochurov@tcia.org if you’d like to find out your CEU status, to learn about CEU opportunities coming up, or if you have any other questions pertaining to the CTSP program.
