The results of the 2008-2009 tree care industry Accident Survey show strong links between reduced accident rates and involvement in both the CTSP program and TCIA Accreditation.
According to TCIA’s, "Accident Survey Results: 2008-09 Operations" the typical TCIA member will have 50% fewer accidents than a non-member. An accredited member will experience 100% fewer accidents than the non-accredited non-member, and at the same time will profit from five times as much production in a year.

Worker safety and professionalism have always been a primary focus of the Tree Care Industry Association. The program that perhaps best exemplifies TCIA's commitment to worker safety is its new Certification program, the CTSP, or Certified Treecare Safety Professional.
The purpose of TCIA's CTSP program is to improve worker safety by empowering and encouraging employers and employees to develop and nurture a culture of safety within their organizations. The goal is to eliminate work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses and their associated costs.
Another example of TCIA's commitment to a culture of safety is the Illness and Injury Prevention Program (replacing TCIA's Model Company Safety Program.) With this program, the tree care company can have all the tools and information needed to implement a comprehensive but tree care-specific safety program for a fraction of the cost hiring a consultant and without the hassle of developing one internally from scratch. Purchase our new Illness and Injury Prevention Program here.

We offer a wide array of products intended to enhance worker safety and increase the professionalism and competency of your employees. You can learn more about what we offer by viewing or downloading our Products and Services Catalog (PDF - 519 KB).
Another way we promote safety and professionalism is by offering educational seminars and workshops around the country. You can benefit from great technical seminars at TCI EXPO as well as other regional workshops promoted on our web site.
