What airport do I fly into? And how far away is the hotel from the airport?

Fly into Kahului Airport (OGG). Once you land, hail a taxi for a 45-minute drive to the Westin Maui (approximately $80). For more information on transportation options, visit the Westin Maui Transportation site or contact the Westin Maui to reserve a Speedi Shuttle.

Do I need a passport?

No, you are traveling within the United States.  However, it is recommended that travelers bring a government-issued photo ID and a copy of your birth certificate.  In most cases it’s easier to bring your passport.

I’d like to extend my stay at the hotel, what should I do?

The WMC discounted room rate is good five (5) days before and five (5) days after the conference, based on availability. We strongly encourage you to book NOW to secure the room and view you want. If you wish to book a room for arrival prior to February 2 or stay after February 10, please call Central Reservations toll free at 800-782-9488.

Is the hotel child-friendly?

Yes, there is both a kid-friendly pool with waterslides as well as an adult section. The hotel offers a supervised Kids’ Club. Hours are from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. A night program with dinner for the kids is also available! Reservations are required for the Kids Club. Visit the Westin Maui Keiki page for more information and pricing. WMC attendees receive a 20% discount!

Does the hotel have a fitness center?

Yes, and it is complimentary.

Does the hotel have a spa?

Yes, there is a full service luxury spa with 16 treatment rooms, a sauna and steam rooms. Outdoor massage cabana is also available.  For more information on the variety of treatments and to book online visit the Heavenly Spa Maui website. WMC attendees receive a 10% discount on spa treatments.

Are there Hawaiian activities at the resort?

Yes, and each day the hotel offers complimentary cultural activities such as fish feedings, Hawaiian demonstrations, craft fairs, botanical tours and more. 

Are there on-property watersports?

Yes, hotel guests can rent a wide variety of equipment such as snorkeling gear, inflatables, boogie boards and stand up paddleboards (SUP). Guests also have the opportunity to take surfing and SUP classes.  In addition, there are many watersport kiosks along Ka’anapali Beach with more offerings.

Can I play tennis at the hotel?

There are no tennis courts on property. 

Can I golf near the hotel?

Yes, guests can enjoy golf on either the Ka’anapali Kai or the Royal Ka’anapali courses, just a three-minute drive from the resort.  For more information and to make tee times, visit the Ka’anapali Golf Courses website.

I’ve never been to WMC before. What should I pack?

Some of the events at WMC call for resort casual wear. Daytime resort attire for men may consist of polo shirts and shorts, while evening resort attire would require nice slacks as well as polo or button down shirts.  Women may wear capris, skirts, dresses or sundresses. We recommend bringing a light wrap or sweater for the evenings as the temperature can dip slightly.

Can I get around the resort on foot?

Yes, the resort is easily walkable.  A 3-minute walk brings you to Whalers Village, a beachside mall with boutiques, restaurants, a whaling museum, hula lessons & other activities.

The tour I want to sign up for is sold out. What should I do?

Email Mai Chen at mchen@tcia.org to be added to the waiting list. Include the number of spots you want. She will contact you if space opens up.

I signed up for a tour, but now I don’t want to go anymore. Can I cancel it?

Tour cancellations received on or before December 29, 2017 will receive a full refund. After December 29, 2017, fees cannot be refunded, but you are welcome to send a replacement.  If we are able to resell your spot on the tour, a refund will be given. Please note that we may not know if this is possible until after WMC.

My family only wants to attend the Farewell Party. Can I just purchase passes for that?

No, individual passes are not sold for the Farewell Party or the Welcome Reception. Guests who would like to attend the Welcome Reception and/or the Farewell Party must purchase the Guest Program.

What is the cancellation policy for WMC?

Requests must be made in writing to TCIA either by fax to 603-314-5386 or by email to wmc@tcia.org. Cancellation requests by telephone will not be accepted. Cancellations received on or before January 19, 2018, will receive a full refund less a $35 administrative fee. Cancellations after January 19, 2018, are subject to a $150 fee per person.
