Tree Care Apprentice

TCIA’s Tree Care Academy Tree Care Apprentice training program is an orientation designed for new employees and employees who need a refresher course in basic safety training.

This orientation to the tree care industry provides:

An introduction to the arboricultural profession
A comprehensive list of safety topics important to arborists
Injury prevention essentials
Basic identification of hazards common to tree care and how to avoid them

The Tree Care Apprentice training program manual is available in both English and Spanish.

Completion of this training program helps verify that you understand basic tree care safety concepts and are qualified to work on the crew.

This program will help you verify – according to OSHA and ANSI Z133.1 guidelines – that you have given introductory safety training to your employee.

This orientation course is best paired with on-the-job training. After your employees become Tree Care Apprentices, they can complete other Tree Care Academy training programs appropriate for their job.
