Accidents continue to increase in the tree care industry and this trend is distressing to companies, employees and consumers. TCIA’s annual Accident Survey is just one tool we’re using to combat this increasing problem.
By supplying information, you will help TCIA compile information our industry needs to become more aware of how safety can help our businesses and save lives. The data that the Accident Survey has generated in the past two years has been invaluable for helping TCIA serve the needs of professional arborists more effectively; and the wealth of information provides us with incredible leverage with OSHA and other entities.
So we’re asking you: Click here to participate in TCIA’s 2011-2012 Accident Survey. Please Note: This survey is now closed. This short survey will take only a few moments to complete.
As a reward for responding (promptly and fully) to the Accident Survey, one of the survey responses will be selected at random to receive up to $250 in safety training materials.*
Materials to choose from include: Best Practices for Crane Use in Arboriculture, Rigging in Arboriculture, or SRT in Arboriculture (NEW); CTSP enrollment; Illness & Injury Prevention Program Guide; Pro Arborist Series Volumes 1-4; Tailgate Safety; Tree Care Academy-Chipper Operator Specialist, or Tree Care Safety Specialist.
TCIA thanks you in advance for your contribution to making our industry a little safer this year.
And if you want to stay updated on safety in 2013, why not sign up for TCIA’s Fatality & Near Miss Rescue Alert email? This free email alert is sent most Monday mornings and includes a list of serious and fatal incidents that are directly related to commercial tree care. The summaries (and links) in this email are intended to help you facilitate safety awareness and training. Just email Amy Tetreault and we’ll add you to the list.
*To be eligible for this reward, please provide the contact information requested on the survey form. Providing contact information is optional, and the information will not be used for marketing purposes. All responses will be treated with the strictest confidentiality; data will only be shared in aggregate form with the outside world.
