Our exclusive WMC tours are for conference participants only and may include items not found in similar tours. Tours are customized to ensure there are no conflicts with any education sessions and return you in time for our evening events.

Monday, February 11

Enjoy the restorative ocean breeze as we sail along the tranquil St. Kitts coastline. Come together with friends to discuss the day’s activities while enjoying the open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a spectacular sunset.

Participants should bring a sweater or light wrap and comfortable/flat shoes.

8:00 am – Noon   Island Flavors Cooking Demonstration and Brunch (Guest Add-on Activity)   SOLD OUT!

Immerse yourself in the history, flavor and folklore of St. Kitts on the grounds of the picturesque and historic 18th Century Fairview Great House and Botanical Garden. Bask in the complex aromas of West Indian cooking as dishes are prepared fresh before you.  Then dig in, nourishing body and soul, as the Chef shares the customs and lore behind these distinctly regional dishes. Take home the recipes to share with family and friends.

Okay, we know many of you have spent countless hours in the trees. But at what rate of speed? This exhilarating 2+ hour thrill ride over the island’s treetops is sure to delight both beginners and advanced riders.  Be sure to take in the spectacular views of the forest, streams, and clear blue ocean in the distance. Once you’ve caught your breath, enjoy a picnic lunch on the captivating grounds of historic Romney Manor, an historic estate now home to the Caribelle Batik Works, makers of the famous dyed garments.

minimum weight requirement: 60lbs; mazimum weight: 270lbs. Guests with heart conditions, pre-existing neck or back injuries and expectant mothers will not be permitted to participate.

12:30 – 4:30 pm   Snorkel and Kayak Tour  (Optional Add-on ActivitySOLD OUT!

This guided tour starts with a snorkeling adventure on a secluded bay nestled on the southeast peninsula of St. Kitts. You are sure to see an amazing array of sea life before setting out in sit-on-top ocean kayaks for a leisurely 2-3 mile paddle along the coastline to South Friars beach. Enjoy a casual, picnic-style lunch on your excursion. Please note that only single kayaks are available for this tour.

Guests should be in good physical condition. there is a maximum weight restriction of 280lbs.

12:30 - 5:00 pm   Robert Felix Memorial Golf Tournament (Pre-registration is required)

The popular Robert Felix Memorial Golf Tournament is a great way to take part in an afternoon of golf, guilt-free, while supporting our industry.  Organized and hosted by TCIAF (Tree Care Industry Association Foundation), proceeds from this event are earmarked to benefit students of arboriculture. 

Join us on the Royal St. Kitts golf course on the Marriott St. Kitts hotel grounds for an afternoon of outstanding golf and friendly competition. The magnificent layout has 125 irrigated acres of lush grass and allows golfers to play two full holes on the Caribbean Sea and three complete holes on the Atlantic Ocean.  Royal St. Kitts plays as an 18-hole, Par 71 course but is fun for every level of player.  Your reservation of $325 includes unlimited use of the driving range prior to play, greens fees, golf cart, lunch, beverages, awards reception, and prizes. This year the fees also include: two sleeves of golf balls, Taylor made rental clubs, and a glove.

Wednesday, February 13

12:30 - 4:30 pm   Tour of the Island of Nevis (Optional Add-on ActivitySOLD OUT!

Take in the beauty of the Caribbean from the ferry on a short but scenic 35 minute crossing to the distinctive island of Nevis.  Stop briefly at the Bath House, once a playground for the rich and famous who came to enjoy the therapeutic hot springs. Then it’s on to Fothergills Estate, a former sugar plantation/cotton gin now home to an expansive exhibit on Nevisian social history. The tour wraps up in the quaint town of Charlestown, the island’s capital. Lunch will be served en route during the tour.

Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended.

12:30 - 4:30pm   ATV Adventure (Optional Add-on Activity)   SOLD OUT!

Your safety briefing takes place at Wingfield estate, the first land grant in the English West Indies (1625). From there, hop on your ATV and make your way through the picturesque foothills of the central mountain range on old sugar cane and tractor paths. Connect with nature and the past as you experience diverse island vegetation, vast species of trees, historic ruins and breathtaking views. Box lunch is included. Please note that only single ATV's are available on this tour.

Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and long pants.

Soak up the sun and fresh Caribbean breeze as we set sail along the scenic southeastern coastline of St. Kitts. Enjoy lunch onboard as you take in all the natural beauty. Our destination? A secluded cove where we will drop anchor to snorkel and relax onboard the catamaran.  Conclude the day by enjoying the open bar and swapping tales of your adventures.

We’ve all heard the story about the one that got away…here’s your chance to try and land it! Big game fish (Wahoo, yellow/black fin tuna and Blue Marlin, just to name a few) flourish just a few miles off shore. This tour includes lunch, soft drinks, beer and all the gear you need to bring in the trophy fish that is just waiting to be caught!

Tour Cancellations:

Tour cancellations received on or before January 11, 2013 will receive a full refund. After January 11, 2013, fees cannot be refunded, but you are welcome to send a replacement. All tours require a minimum number of attendees. If a minimum is not met, refunds will be given.
