Exclusive Tours & Recreation

As always, TCIA has scheduled many optional activities and tours that are exclusive to WMC attendees! These excursions are a great opportunity to "hang" with industry colleagues and make long lasting friends and memories.

These events are customized to fit neatly into the WMC schedule. No need to coordinate around sessions or other evene - we did all the hard work for you!

Monday, February 9

Sunset Catamaran Cruise
4:30 - 7:30 PM | $124 (Children 1 - 10: $62)
Sit back and enjoy the ocean breeze as you sail along the coastline of Baja California Sur, while snacking on hors d’ouevres and your favorite libation from the open bar. Children's rate available for kids between the ages of 3 - 10. Limited to 175.

Tuesday, February 10

Restore & Replenish (Yoga Class and Mexican Cooking Class)
7:30 - 11:30 | $125
There’s nothing like the sounds of the sea, the beauty of the ocean and the warmth of the sun while practicing yoga. Treat yourself to an optional yoga class and then enjoy a light breakfast and behind the scenes Kitchen Tour and Mexican Cooking class with Manuel De Luca, the renowned executive chef of Sheraton Hacienda. Limited to 20.

Camel Safari
11:30 - 4:30 PM | $135
Go beyond the tourist trips and discover the stunning wonders of the Baja peninsula. Enjoy a gentle nature walk, followed by a camel ride along a beautiful and peaceful beach. Finish out the afternoon by savoring an authentic Mexican lunch, tequila tasting and cool refreshing beverages. For children 5+. Limited to 42.

Baja Buggy Tour
12:00 - 4:15 PM | Single: $364; Double: $235 per person
Get ready to go fast and get dirty! Explore Cabo San Lucas’ transition from desert to ocean as you travel through mountains and canyons on your way to the magic spot where the desert merges with the Pacific Ocean. A local guide will provide you with the historical background as you travel on your fully automated single or double Xrail buggy. Relax for a few moments to enjoy a boxed lunch and the dramatic scenery. Drivers must be 16+. Passengers must be 7+. Limited to 10 buggys.

Sliding Through the Canyons (Zip Line Tour)
12:00 - 4:30 PM | $160
Get your heart pumping as you soar across canyons and zoom by rock faces on eight of Mexico’s biggest zip lines. Soar along 2,673 feet of zip line and embrace being 295 feet high – you’ll feel like a bird flying over the oasis below! Enjoy lunch while overlooking the canyon. Physical requirements: Able to walk a 20 degree slope for up to 5 minutes; not currently pregnant; do not have cardiac, respiratory problems, osteoporosis, recent surgeries, or vertigo. The maximum weight per person allowed is 250 pounds. Children must be 8+ to participate. Limited to 30.

Robert Felix Memorial Golf Tournament

Don't let the name fool you! The Cabo del Sol Golf Desert Course is highly rated, challenging and beautiful … perfect for the popular Robert Felix Memorial Golf Tournament. Organized and hosted by TCIAF (Tree Care Industry Association Foundation), proceeds from this annual event are earmarked to benefit students of arboriculture.  Can you think of a more brilliant way to enjoy an afternoon of guilt-free golf while supporting our industry? The par 72 Desert Course offers rolling terrain, dramatic bunkers and ocean views as the course weaves through the Cabo Del Sol Community. Voice for Trees Political Action Committee Dinner and Auction

Ready, set, bid! The Voice for Trees Political Action Committee cocktail reception, dinner and auction remains one of the most anticipated events at WMC. Only at the VFT-PAC Auction can you bid on hunting trips, unique jewelry, vacations and equipment rentals … all while raising funds to advance your interests in Washington.
