HEARING CONSERVATION PROGRAM
Does your work environment produce harmful levels of noise, or do you suspect that it does? If so, then for compliance it is better to err on the side of caution and implement a “hearing conservation program,” as defined by the OSHA standard and described in this guide.
The purpose of OSHA’s Hearing Conservation Standard is to protect employees from the long-term, harmful effects of excessive noise; i.e., hearing loss.
