Chain Saw Expert Trainer Workshop

Dates: Monday, July 23, 2018 - Friday, July 27, 2018

Workshop Description:
The CTSP Expert Trainer Qualification developed by TCIA, in close consultation with  North American Training Solutions (NATS) and Arboriculture Canada Training & Education, Ltd, will be conducted by Ed Carpenter and Dwayne Neustaeter, principals and lead instructors from those respective organizations. This workshop is for CTSPs whose desired professional development path focuses on training expertise; specifically, their expertise training others in the safe use of chain saws. This four-plus-day intensive experience focuses on leadership and training techniques and skills, with a specific emphasis on the TCIA Tree Care Academy (TCA) course – Chain Saw Specialist.  All meals during the workshop, all training materials and transportation between workshop venues are included with registration.

Eligibility:
Participants must be prequalified by being CTSPs in good standing at the time of the workshop. Fulfilling the requirements of the Chain Saw Specialist program before the workshop is strongly encouraged.

Schedule:
Please note: This is an intensive experience. The first day’s orientation starts at 6pm and ends around 10:30pm. Each subsequent day starts around 7:00am with breakfast and ends after dinner.

CEUs:
ISA Certified Arborists will receive 27 CEUs.
CTSPs will receive at least 30 CEUs, exact amount in each category to be determined. 

Meals:
Continental breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided Tuesday through Thursday; continental breakfast and lunch only on Friday

Lodging:
TCIA does not cover your hotel, but will provide transportation between the Heritage Hotel & Conference Center (522 Heritage Rd., Southbury, CT, 06488; ph: 855-213-0582) and Northeast Stihl each day of the workshop. We can make additional recommendations for lodging when you register.

Regular Price: $1,499.00 member/$1,699.00 nonmember

Cancellation:
Cancellations must be made in writing to TCIA by email to meetings@tcia.org. No telephone cancellations accepted. Cancellations must be received 7 days before the workshop starts for a full refund less $35 administration fee. Registrations are transferrable provided the recipient of the transfer meets the eligibility requirements. By virtue of your registration, you agree to the cancellation terms as outlined.
