The Aerial Lift Specialist course is designed to give an additional credential to tree care apprentices. This course will help you document and verify that the company has given OSHA-required safety training to all employees according to their job descriptions, as well as help them feel they are part of an important industry with a career path.
Use of Aerial Lift Specialist training as part of the TCIA Tree Care Academy™ also meets the TCIA Accreditation standard.
TCIA was recently awarded a federal grant in the amount of $137,532 from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
The grant, SH29645SH6, was awarded through the Susan Harwood Training Grant Program, which provides funding for nonprofit organizations to conduct in-person, hands-on training and educational programs for employers and workers on the recognition, avoidance and prevention of safety and health hazards in their workplaces.
These select workshops financed 100 percent through federal funds, will be offered to affected employees and owners of small businesses, including limited-English, low-literacy and hard-to-reach workers.
