Unsure how it all works? Here are the basics. For more details, check out the Terms & Conditions.
- Who Can Apply:
Tree care companies, tree care associations (like ISA chapters), tree care consulting companies, tree care service companies, etc. Municipalities cannot apply for a grant.
- What Type of Workshops Are Funded:
Workshop topics can include Tree Care Academy Programs like Electrical Hazards Awareness Program (EHAP), Aerial Rescue, Tree Climber Specialist, Aerial Lift, Chain Saw, Chipper Operator and Stump Grinder Operator. Workshop topics can also include any programs that you believe can provide key safety training to tree care workers in your area.
Workshops must be held at a neutral location (manufacturer, dealer, etc.) – not at a tree care company’s office.
Grantee is responsible for all registration and marketing logistics, but the ASTI Grants Office will provide the grantee with materials to help market workshops. (Please note that workshops must be made available and open for all local companies and interested parties to attend.)
- Tree Care Academy workshops require that the instructor is a TCIA Approved Instructor. View the complete list.
